As I retire I can finally reveal the untold...
Let's cut straight to the heart of the matter here and get to the facts, because there is way too much marketing crap out there. That's the reality.

I'm sure your Facebook news feeds are all kind of saturated with all sorts of ads promising the fancy houses, the fancy cars; the whole lot, right?

Same thing on YouTube. You know, fancy video, and, look: people have had enough.

People have got smarter. I'm going to cut straight to the chase. Some of the things, they may have got some people to fall for them a few years back, but not anymore.

Today I'm going to explain the seven vile truths about marketing online today, because things have changed.

Back in the days, you could kind of throw together a simple website or a simple sales page and it would've worked. Right? In most cases.

The reality, you know, same thing for Facebook. Facebook ads, back in the days, you would just kind of get people to click on an ad and get them to some kind of an offer, and they would buy.

And what's happened now is that ad costs have gone through the roof. Just open up the Facebook invest reporting.

You'll see how Facebook is making more and more money simply because there's a limited amount of inventory, and more and more people coming online and advertising.

Webinar show up rates have gone down. Back in the days, a webinar was kind of a big event, and you would have sometimes even 60 or 70 percent of people who register for a free webinar, they would show up.

In this day and age, if you get 25 or even 30 percent, you're doing fantastic.

Email open rates, if you have an email list, they've plummeted. I remember when I started in this business, I used to have 50, 55 percent email open rates. Nowadays, if you're getting three, five, or even 10 percent, that is an achievement.

Social media. Back in the days, anything you would post on social media would get engagement. These days, social media's so cluttered.

The truth is that online marketing, and webinars, and funnels, are not what it used to be, and so, as kind of we go through these seven vile marketing truths, you're going to see how a lot of the stuff that's out there, and you may have already suspected this as you read this, is actually idiotic.

Some of it is just plain wrong.

It's just people who are putting out products and offers just to kind of make a quick buck, and some of it is outdated, and we'll cover this in just a second.
Nicknamed by the New York Times, USA Today and The Wall Street Journal "Europe’s Fastest Growing Digital Nomad Entrepreneur", I kneel in front of God Almighty and reluctantly confess:
And Why These 3 Words Could Lead You To Focus, Results And Ultimate Triumph As Your Online Empire Is Built For You
Why Should You Listen To Me?
If you don't know me, why should you listen me? Well, look. I started is back in 2011, and you know, so many people, including my very first mentor who got me started, have come and gone. They've gone out of business.

They were here yesterday, gone today, simply because they just have not been able to keep up with how things have changed online.

You know, at some point, what happened is that their offers, whatever it is that they were selling, people stopped buying it, or if people were buying it, the cost of making that sale, the cost of the marketing, the advertising, just put them out of business. Whereas, all of this has been happening over the last few years.

On the other hand, I have been launching business, after business, after business.

And they've been flourishing.

I've launched a number of six figure businesses per year now, and I've done this whilst most of the old school marketers, and you can research the names online, are gone.

Or if they're still around, their operations have significantly down scaled. As this was happening, I've been able to flourish, so as Darwin said:

"It's not the strongest who survive, but it's actually those who are able to adapt, and adapt the fastest."

That's the reality, and sadly, for those people, they were not able to adapt. So, they're either completely gone, or they're running what are now very, very small operations compared to what they used to be.

The reality is that, with ad cost rising, with people kind of being bombarded with ads, they have more and more options to what to pay attention to online, and to option in terms of what they're going to buy, there is a significant culling of the species going on now.

I'm going to explain how these things have changed, and not just that, but not only how you, if you're just getting started with an online business, or maybe if you already have a business, how not only you can adapt and survive, but how you can thrive in these times just like I have.
1. Marketing Doesn't Work
Here's the thing. Maybe, actually, this is what attracted you to this post, is because you want to learn more about online marketing and digital marketing.

But if you look at businesses that are online businesses these days, there's a lot more than just marketing, which is why it kind of makes me ... it infuriates me when people go on and on about how you should learn digital marketing and online marketing.

It's just inaccurate and misleading information, because, yes, you need to be good at marketing, but that's only one, small part of running an online business.

There are things like product development, or product selection, and then you need to learn how to brand yourself.

You also need to learn what is the best way of getting your students result?

There is accounting, there is tax. If you have inventory, there is product fulfillment. There is building and managing an internal team. There's human resources.

There's so many other aspects to running an online business than just marketing, so if you're focusing only on the marketing, and then you're kind of sitting there and kind of wondering, "Why aren't things working?"

Well, it's because you're only focusing on one small part of a much bigger picture. It's kind of like wanting to bake a cake and only focusing on mixing the flour and the water.

And then you're wondering, "Okay, why is there no cake?" Well, because that's only two of many ingredients, right? In this case, just one ingredient.

And here, things have drastically changed, because maybe two, three years ago, the online world was so new that you could just, like we said, throw together a couple of pages, a very quick and little website, have a subpar product.

But now things have changed, and those who just focus on becoming number one at online marketing, or whether it's social media, or Instagram, or Snapchat, or Messenger bots, or YouTube marketing. Whatever that is, right?

And then they're like, "Oh, well, but I bought this program on messenger bots, and why aren't things working?"

Well, that's why.

That's only one small part of the picture, and that approach was inaccurate years ago, like it is today. The difference is that, today, the marketplace has become so much more competitive and selective that what worked a few years ago doesn't work anymore.
2. Technology Is Not The Solution
We are here, right? You're reading this thanks to technology, for sure. But technology is not actually in itself going to build a business. Let me ask you this, for example. You may have bought some piece of software online, or some page builder, or funnel creator.

You bought that piece of software that builds funnels for you. Okay, great. But is that in itself making you money? How's that working out?

So, the technology is not the solution, which is why, to start an online business, this is, I guess, kind of the bright side of this: you don't need to be technically expert.

As long as you know how to send an email, that's all you need, because the technology is not a big component of an online business, believe it or not.

There are so many people out there who are so much more talented than, for example, I am, technically, that they've worked out that technology, and we can just leverage that technology.

They've made it so easy for us that, really, I'm not very technical and I run very successful businesses, so, again, you don't need to be very techy to do this.

In fact, I remember, it was Chris Currie. He attended one of my program a few months ago, and he was a total, total newbie. You can see his testimonial on our website, you know, a total newbie, no tech skills whatsoever, and at the end of the program he said:

"Hey, Tiz, I'm so confident that I can earn at least 20,000 pounds a month,"

That's just under 30,000 dollars a month depending on where the exchange rate is with this.

He realized that, actually, technology wasn't the issue, by the time he completed the program.
3. Traffic Is Useless
If you're thinking, "I need to have a big social media following, or a big email list, or websites that get a lot of visitors that rank very highly on Google." None of that applies, okay? If you want to have an online business, you never have a traffic problem. It's not about the traffic.

There is so many ways you can generate traffic online it's not even funny. Traffic is so abundant. You don't need to have an established business or following to grow your online business. So, here's the thing...

It's not about the traffic. It's how much is that traffic worth to you? So, how can you monetize that traffic?

Because the reality is that, like one of my mentors used to say, the person who can pay the most for a customer is the person who will get the most traffic.

In other words, if you have your online business set up in such a way, and we'll talk about this in the next couple of points, that you are monetizing those leads and you're making good money out of them, then you would be able to buy more traffic than you can ever handle.
My Student's First Sale
This actually reminds me of a call I was having with one of my Quantum Results Masterminds students yesterday. He started from absolutely nothing.
He invested in one of our programs. He got really good at building his email list, and monetizing that list in the investing and the trading space.

It was such a great call; he was through the moon because he's never made a dime online. He was not technical at all. He's in, I think, his late 50s or so, lived in Texas, and he was so excited because he made his very first sale by monetizing his leads.

I think he invested, at the time, like 100 bucks in traffic, and he made a sale, actually, he made more than one sale. He would very quickly make those 100 dollars back, and more. So, he was asking me, "Tiz, how much should I invest? How much more should I invest in traffic?"

And the answer was, "You now have the keys to the kingdom, so to speak. You have this system in place to turn traffic into more money."

If you put one dollar in, you now have the system that's able to turn that dollar into two dollars, three dollars, or more.

So, the question now becomes, how much do you want to put in that machine? Well, realistically, as much as you possibly can.

It's not about the traffic. It's what do you do with that traffic? What system do you have in place to monetize that traffic? And the better that system, the more traffic you'll be able to buy.
4. Money Won't Help You
You don't need a lot of money to start in this. What I mean by that is: you can have all the money in the world, and you can spend all these crazy amounts of money buying traffic.

But the reality is that unless you're able to make a return on investment on that traffic, on that money that you spent, that money's going to run away very quickly.

You don't need to have a lot of money invested in paid traffic. In fact, you can just get started with free traffic, and once you're getting started with free traffic, which, by definition, doesn't cost anything.

As soon as that starts generating an income, with these free traffic strategies, then, you can reinvest some of those profits and invest them in paid traffic if you so want.

There are all kind of ad networks and websites that can send you visitors, and they're willing to give you a certain amount of free traffic.

Sometimes it's like 25 dollars, 50 dollars. Sometimes, even, 100 dollars, worth of traffic, so that you can kind of test their traffic and start making money that way.

You really don't need a lot of money to do this.

And look, here's the thing. If you think that you need a lot of time to do this, you'd be surprised. ..
5. Working Hard Won't Help
Because working hard won't help. It's not about how much, how long, how many hours you put in. It's about, if you're working smart? What are you doing with that time you're putting in?

You know, there's so many people who just put in so many hours, and they get no results, and maybe you've been in that situation.  You bought some program, you attended some course, and you're like, "Oh, spending every waking hour working on this business, and it's not picking up." Well, what really makes the difference there is are you working smart?

I remember, I think it was Rocky. He attended one of my programs, and he just told me, "Hey, Tiz. With what you've taught me, with the strategies that you taught me, I can now see myself working less."

His wife was in the catering business, and they kind of work very strange hours, late at night, sometimes early in the morning. It's just kind of ... you know, it's just the catering business, and he was helping out, so he was kind of really struggling.

He didn't have a lot of time to work on his online business because he was working with his wife, and he was really tight on time.

So he did some math and he also told me, "Hey, Tiz. I can easily see myself making, like, 11,000 dollars a month."

Isn't that amazing?

It's not about having a lot of time to do this. You don't need a lot of time. It's about having the right strategy and the proven system to get you there.
6. Having A Product Won't Help
Then we have, also, another very common misconception which is, "Hey, Tiz. I need to have a product. Oh, I'm building a product."

And this is actually one of the most dangerous ones.

You see a lot of programs and courses out there who teach you how to build your own product, or your own membership site, or create your own webinar, or why you need to have your own product, and it's just not true.

Learn From My Mistakes
Here's the thing, and this is a mistake that I made at the very beginning.

Especially if you're just starting your online business, creating a product is... it's a heck of a lot of work.

I'm going to tell you like it is: it's not easy.

It requires a lot of specialized knowledge. The subject matter, as in what the product is about, as well as the marketing of the product.

And there is no certainty whatsoever that the product that you're going to be spending months, and sometimes even years, creating, is going to work out.

I've made that mistake at the very beginning.

I created a huge product, and I spent thousands and thousands of dollars. I think it was under $11,000 when I counted, on this product, and it was a fantastic product.

And, at the end of the day, it was a product that the marketplace didn't want.

So, it's not about having the product. Having a product will not help. In fact, having a product will hurt you.

It will take a lot of time, a lot of money, a lot of energy, a lot of resources, and with no idea whether it will work or not. And the truth is that you may kind of be leading yourself into a very big rabbit hole.

The Right Time To Create A Product
For example, I created the Affiliate Marketing Intensive Kickstarter.

And mind you, I created a product after being in this business since 2011.  So, a fair few years. Like six, seven, eight years.

And only then did I create a product, so in the Affiliate Marketing Intensive Kickstarter, the reason we f
ocus on promoting other people's products is because we can very quickly promote other people's products are already optimized.

They're perfect; they're super high converting; they're very attractive. You know, we can literally take that link they give us, and start promoting it, and then we can see if people are buying it, and the commissions are very high.

They're anything between 50 and 75 percent, so you're just getting paid 50 to 75 percent as an affiliate for promoting that product, and you don't have to do any of the product development, the product support, the technical support, none of that stuff.

You promote it. You get paid 50 to 75 percent of the product price, and the price is anything between 5,000 dollars and more all the way down to 27 dollars.

So it really depends, and you also tend to get paid commissions on any upsells, and down sells, and any recurring billing.

Hansel, for example, one of my Quantum Results Mastermind clients, he paid 50,000 dollars a year to work with me one on one, and you may be able to access the same level of education as part of the Affiliate Marketing Intensive Kickstarter, if enrollment is open.

We kind of tend to have it open and closed at different times of the year, so, the point being, here, is that Hansel made his first sale yesterday, and it gets even better, because he promoted a product as an affiliate, which he didn't have to create, he doesn't have to support, he doesn't have to do anything... And he sold that product, and that's a product with recurring billing.

That means that, as long as that person stays subscribed, he's going to get paid a recurring commission on a regular basis. In this case, every quarter. He's going to get paid, I think it's, 75 percent of whatever that person pays, on a quarterly basis, without having to do anything.

He's getting that recurring element with very, very little work, and kind of, this is kind of the distinctions that you only get from people who've done this for a very long time, and who are just telling you like it is.

I'm not here to sell you the latest course on Messenger bots or YouTube ads or whatever it is...
Because if you look at those programs, they're very biased. If someone is selling a course on YouTube ads, then, naturally, they're going to tell you, "Oh, YouTube ads is everything that you need in your business. It's the only thing. You get the YouTube ads course and it's going to change everything."

No, that's not true!

There's a lot more to running an online business than just the marketing, and YouTube ads, this is just one form of advertising.

Same thing for Messenger bots. So, these are the kind of distinctions that you get by working with someone who's done this for a very long time, of course, a number of industries, across many years.
I remember Louis. He's based in the east coast, in the states, he was talking with a couple of other of my students, and he would say, "Look, if you want to become a millionaire, if you want to learn how to become a millionaire, then learn from someone who's done it."

And that's the key.

More than any kind of specific tactics and strategies on whatever the latest widget is at the time.
7. Being An Expert Won't Help
Being an expert won't help either.  Being an expert, if anything, sometimes, can harm you. You don't need to have a lot of experience.

You just need to have the right system, the right guidance, that gets you there. And the right program, the right mentoring.
Because, look, you don't need to be an expert to sell a product on weight loss. You don't need to be an expert to sell a product on how to have better social skills...

As an affiliate, you just need to put in contact people who have a problem or an unmet desire in the marketplace with a solution. That's it.

And then let the product vendor do all the rest of the work.

For example, I ran this experiment. I was running a mastermind, and it was really a dozen people. It was a very small mastermind, and we did this experiment where I got one of my students, June Sennon, to stand on stage and effectively send an email promoting a financial product.

She kind of knew nothing about trading, nothing about finance, literally, she just followed the steps and she sent out the promotion.

We came back the following day (it was a three day event).

She stood up on stage and kind of sent out the email, and I remember June coming to me at the end of the event and saying, "I don't know much about trading and investing, I'm definitely not an expert in that. I'm definitely not an expert in technical matters."

And she was like, "Look, I can't believe this."

We came in, we sent out the promotion, we came in the following day, and I made as much over night as I used to make in a whole week working in an office, promoting.

Remember. She promoted something that she knew nothing about.

So you don't need to be an expert. You just need to follow the steps and do the work and be smart.

Follow a proven system and you will get the results.

I've seen this, you know, I've now been blessed to coach, personally, hundreds of students, and digitally, online, thousands of not tens of thousands of students.

And people ask me, "Tiz, what's your success rate?

And the answer is very simple... If you follow the steps, success rate is 100 percent...

Because this is like baking a cake. You have the recipe, and as long as you put the right ingredients in the right order and you follow the recipe, you're going to get a cake.

So, the question is, are you willing to follow the steps and take action? If you do that, then you're going to get the results. This is a science, okay?

The Reason People Fail
The reason for why so many people fail and they're overwhelmed and they're kind of a bit lost, even very smart people, whether you're an accountant, a lawyer, a banker, a doctor they kind of get lost in this sea of misinformation online, and I'm sure you can open your social media and you're going to be bombarded with all these ads.

It's not about any one single thing.

It's not about YouTube ads, or Messenger bots, or social media, or search engine optimization.

It's about one comprehensive step by step system that can get you from where you are today to where you want to be. That's not just marketing.

If you look at the Affiliate Marketing Intensive Kickstarter, yes, of course, we teach marketing, we teach affiliate marketing, but I also teach a lot more things like email marketing, like lead generation, like offer selection, mindset, and so on, so on.

Because all these elements are what's going to get your results. Not just the latest course on Messenger bots. That's just a small thing of the overall picture.

So I hope these kind of clarified a few misconceptions that are out there in the online world, and unfortunately, there's a lot of gurus and they're always trying to pitch you kind of the latest and best strategy and technique, and those people, and you will see, mark my words, here today, gone tomorrow.

The best way that I think, and this is the way that I think businesses are going to flourish online, is when they have a consistent track record of getting students results.

So, it's all about taking one program and just following the steps. If you follow the steps, then you're pretty much guaranteed to succeed.

That being said, I hope that kind of clarifies a few misconceptions about starting and growing a business online.

Let's Recap

It's not all about marketing.
Marketing itself, it doesn't work. You know, if you've bought a course on whatever thing it is, SEO, or Messenger bots, or YouTube, whatever it is, or Instagram, right? That's only one small part, okay?

Technology's not the solution. You don't have to be an expert at any of this. In fact, it's getting easier and easier.

Traffic, it's not about the traffic, either. You don't need to have a big following. Actually, you don't need to have any existing traffic or any email list to get started with this. Look, we all started from zero, right? I started with an email list of exactly zero, okay?
It's about what system are you using to monetize that traffic and to turn those visitors into money? This is what it's about.

Money won't help you. You don't need to have a lot of money to start with this. I got started from nothing. I was pretty much broke at the time, so you don't need a lot of money. Also, check out the Affiliate Marketing Intensive Kickstarter, we give you almost 1,000 dollars worth of free traffic.

Working hard won't help. You don't need to work very hard on this. You need the put the effort, that's for sure, but you don't need to put a lot of hours, you don't need to have a lot of time for this, as long as you're following a proven system, you're following the steps, and you're working smart.

Having a product is not needed, and it won't help either. Forget product creation. I can tell you right away. Until you're a few millions of dollars down the line, and years down the line, there is so much opportunity for so much less work, so much more money to be made promoting other people's products as affiliates.

And finally, being an expert won't help either. You don't need to be an expert.
If you're an expert, great. But really, you don't need to have a lot of technical skills or specialized product knowledge to be successful at this.

As affiliates, we truly are entrepreneurs. We look for people who have a problem or an unmet desire in the marketplace and we put them in front of a solution.
